Laboratory of Basic Medical Sciences is a public medical scientific research platform of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. The department, covering an area of 950 square meters, has basic medical research equipment such as flow cytometry, fluorescence microscope and cryostat microtome etc, and is open to postgraduates and researchers from all clinical departments of Qilu hospital. Each year, more than 100 researchers from 36 clinical departments works in the lab. There are 11 staff in the department, including 2 professors, 2 associate researcher, 3 research assistant and 4 technicians. The department provides technical training and research design guidance to the researchers. More than 1000 papers were published and more than 100 National Natural Science Foundation grants were approved under the guidance and help of the department.
