On May 31, Dai Jirong, a member of the Chinese Academy of engineering and a tenured professor of the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical College, was employed as a part-time professor of Shandong University and the unveiling ceremony of Dai Jirong's workstation of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University was held in Jinan. Han Shenghao, vice president of Shandong University, attended the ceremony and presented the letter of appointment. Dai Jirong, academician of the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical College, Hou Junping, Secretary of the Party committee of our college, Li Jianmin, director of orthopedics, and Professor Li Huiwu, deputy director of orthopedics department of the Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical College, attended the ceremony. The meeting was presided over by Ji Chunyan, vice president of our hospital.
In his speech, Hou Junping briefly introduced Shandong University and Qilu Hospital, and pointed out that Shandong University has achieved leapfrog development in recent years. At present, the academic strength and contribution ability of six medical disciplines have entered the top 1% of ESI world ranking. As a Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University, Qilu Hospital bears the responsibility of impacting the world-class clinical medicine. Relying on the platform of academician Dai Jirong's workstation in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, we should speed up the training of orthopedic talents and the construction of orthopedic discipline, so as to make the overall level of orthopedics in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University to a higher level. Professor Li Huiwu and Professor Li Jianmin introduced the orthopedic department of Shanghai Ninth Hospital and Qilu Hospital respectively.
In his speech, Han Shenghao pointed out that Shandong University has a complete range of disciplines, and many cooperation and innovation points can be found in the combination of medical engineering and science. Relying on the advantages of science and engineering of Shandong University, it provides a solid platform for the further development of clinical medicine in Shandong University Qilu hospital. Through the establishment of academician Dai Jirong workstation in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, the communication and cooperation between the orthopedics department of Qilu hospital and the orthopedics department of Shanghai No.9 hospital will be strengthened, and the overall strength of clinical and scientific research in the orthopedics department of Qilu hospital will be further improved by virtue of the advantages of the orthopedic department of Shanghai Ninth Hospital in clinical and basic scientific research.
Academician Dai Jirong made a preliminary prospect on the cooperation and exchange between the orthopedic departments of the two hospitals after the establishment of the workstation and the period when he was employed as a part-time professor of Shandong University.
